Coral snake, nice. We only have to worry about one poisonous snake up here, and they are very rare. The last snake I saw was a brown snake, pretty boring compared to your find.
We lived in East Texas for a while. We saw our share of venomous snakes; rattlers, copperheads, coral, cotton mouths. Copperheads almost got our little one a couple of times in the yard! I’m no fan.
Snakes! I hate them! When I was a kid and a boy chased the girls with a snake, I was at the head of the girls, screaming louder than any of them. I made mention of my views on snakes in my post, The Art Of Levitating.

We have the grand slam of poisonous snakes; but Water Moccasins are the only ones that bother me…

Not a very efficient crawler. At least that makes me a little better about the evil SOBs.
Almost insect like in its movement. Better never go in water, a number of fish would gobble it up.
About 3 rattlers over this summer and fall
Can’t say I care too much for them. Scorpions either!
